professional

Currently, I work at Cedars-Sinai Medical Hospital as their Web Specialist. My focus primarly resides with creative design (their on-site artist/designer, if you will) and with programmatic efforts.

I also provide training to the campus. Assisting many with learning the skills needed to maintain their own department Intranet web sites. (Ahhh... to teach.)

My educational background:
At present, I attend UCLA focusing on classes such as: Object-Oriented Analysis, UML (Unified Modeling Language) and Flash.

Prior to the Bruins, I graduated from a great technical school with high honors. (see Brooks College) It was there that I mastered a solid programming foundation, developed a keen sense for color and design theories, and embraced many of the latest web design & digital manipulation applications.

When I am not programming, I exhibit at random collectives here in Hollywood. I concentrate primarily on acrylic paintings, digital photography manipulation, and graphic design.

Recently, I broke out with my debut exhibit playfully titled: "Sufficient Data". The artwork therein will soon be featured on the IFC TV show called:
The Minor Accomplishments of Jackie Woodman. (Whoo! Hoo!)

So in a nut shell, I am a rather eclectic girl. Playfully offering creative expressions to all... professionally, and to the beloved bohemian scenes.

Yes, it could be said that I live quite the magical and enchanted life. Hmm... I wonder what I will do next! :)

personal
I was born in Los Angeles, but grew up in Alaska. It was there that I acquired a love for design while playing with the possibilities in Radio and Television Production and Photography Class at:
A. J. Dimond High School
.

A RAVER at heart, after graduation I decided to travel for a bit and attend many a scene. (Diving into the exploration of life, some may say.) During this eventful experience, I headed out and lived in: Portland, OR., Seattle, WA.,. Boulder, Aspen & Denver, CO., and Santa Fe, NM.

In 1999, I moved to Hollywood, CA. It was here that I started to work as Residential Manager for Artiste Apartments, a property management company that caters to artistic individuals.

After a number of years in other corporate scenes, (and what scenes they were) I decided to devote myself to all things art and became a full time artist, designer, and programmer. To my own surprise, I was pretty good at it.

Around the same timeframe, I began to meditate and bond with monks, swamis, Oracles, and other spiritual beings... growing spiritually. It was during this experience that my lifes purpose revolutionized and changed me forever.

Some of the lessons I have intigrated into my life includes fasting, chanting, and meditating. Reclaiming my mind, body, and soul. For this I say.. it is amazing what you can see, with true clarity.

In 2003, I took up drums. When I am not working at expanding my artistic and programming skills, my efforts rest with growing as a drummer and developing my skills in that arena.
